How to Create a Project Plan
Wednesday, September 23, 4-5 PM
A 3-part series, the first two are prerecorded videos and will be available to watch on the on YouTube using the following link beginning Thursday, September 10.
The first YouTube video will be an introduction to creating a hypothesis or engineering design statement. For science projects, the development of the hypothesis is key to the success of the project. For engineering design project, it is the engineering design statement that is key to the success of the project. Watch this video prior to the Zoom Meeting on September 23. (The video is approximately 15 min in length)
The second YouTube video is a introduction to research resources available at the Akron Summit County Public Library. Watch this video prior to the Zoom Meeting on September 23. (The video is approximately 15 min in length)
The final session is a Zoom meeting. We will have a short review of the YouTube videos and then a short presentation on the next steps on how to develop a successful project. Science projects are most fun when they are successful which means it will produce good data to validate your hypothesis or test evidence of meeting the design intent.
Then we will have a chance for students to ask questions to get everyone on good footing for a great project. The Zoom meeting will be recorded and available after the meeting if you are not able to attend. The link will be added to the YouTube links below afterwards.
